I just bought a new 325PD earlier this month, and I've put 150 rounds down the barrel, I thought I'd just check the B/C gap while cleaning the gun, because I noticed some "burn" marks on the forward parts of the cylinder.
I've read that B/C gaps can vary, and as long as they're within spec. (.010"?), a lot of people, and S&W customer service will accept variations in this measurement without much concern.
I measured a gap of .012" from the right side of the gun, and .008" on the left side. Anybody else experience this, and should I be concerned?
Like I mentioned, I haven't put enough range time in to really say whether or not I'm experiencing problems in accuracy...especially since I'm new to this lightweight .45...the 625's I've owned made even
me appear to be a good shot, especially with a particular load I worked up for 200gr SWC's.
So, just by the measurements, should I have Smith C/S give it a look?
Thanks.
