I do not recall ever seeing anyone selling a 4 position silhouette front sight independently. The top of the barrel of the gun must be machined to accommodate the sight.
Your option is to find a S&W mod 29 (and a few 27's I believe) that have that sight.

there was a run of 586's with 4 ***. silhouette sights. it's a shot in the dark but have you tried calling s&w. it's been a long time since they made any, but you never know, right? what kind of gun are you trying to put them on.

I was thinking about putting it on a custom ruger maxum. I was going to have a cylinder made in 445 supermag necked down to 357. So it would be a 357/44 b/d supermag. The ruger has a 10.5 inch barrel and thought I silhouette front sight would be the bees knees for this conversion.

i know i've seen some 8 3/8" 586 sil. if you are talking about a single action ruger, then it is possible to have the smith barrel mounted to the ruger frame, if you could manage to find one. it would prob cost, but the result would be really nice (a ruger with a ribbed smith barrel) The pics in Hamilton Bowen's book look nice.

Is the barrel a SA Ruger or a Super Red Hawks, or maybe a GP100s barrel on a SRH Frame????
Good Luck in your Quest!!

The S&W silhouette front sight is essentially a modified version of the Wichita silhouette rear sight. Contact Wichita Arms and see if they can modify one for you to have a vertical blade instead of a rear notch.

That said, what the hell are you doing messing up a collectible Ruger SRM .357 Maximum??? If you want to swap out a custom cylinder that's one thing, but screwing up the front sight? Why? As David Wilson says, think long and hard before you do something that's irreversible.

I saw your WTB ad ...someone had the same 4 position sight on a 44 mag barrel recently for sale...They did a 6" Lew Horton (had one, wish I'd kept it).
Check the for sale stuff,Guy has been selling a bunch of barrels lately and you could remove that one, think the price was around 130.
If you're building one ,an Arisocrat...or bomar,or others might have some options...I know the old PPC guns had an adjustable Front.

Silhouette front sight
Brownells has all of the parts needed for the Smith & Wesson 4 position front sight. You would need to take a good look at your barrel to see if there is sufficient metal for machining and the parts total is pretty high. It is doable but ask your self if this is REALLY what you want to do because it will be a real bear of a project.
