My favorite S&W's! With a question!
These are my favorite S&W's!! I think I'm beginning to see a pattern in what I like! The top is a 629-6 Big Rock from 2002, then a 629-5 "Colorless" Stealth Hunter from 2001 and finally a 629-3 Classic Hunter possibly Lew Horton, maybe not! Found a set of Hogue grips to fit today!! One of the local Pawn shops had a set!!
Thanks!

You have excellent tastes. It's strange that your grips won't fit. An N frame is an N frame...or so I thought. Have you tried other N frame grips from other makes?

Nice selection of revolvers. Couldn't find the last one with a non-fluted cylinder?

HOUSTON RICK -> not yet...but I'm keeping a lookout!
qballwill -> I tried an L frame, but that didn't work either....basically the backstrap won't allow the grip to fully seat...there is always a gap where the grip should fit snugly up against the frame at the back...been CLOSE, but no success yet!

Here's an additional question, the 629-3 6" with the fluted cylinder, it was advertised as a Lew Horton, but the serial number prefix is PCF.....any idea what this might actually be? I thought all the Lew Hortons had a solid cylinder, so I might actually NOT have a Lew Horton, which is okay, still love it!! But would be nice to know what I have!

It's a Horton. They came both fluted and non-fluted. I have its twin but I will have to check the serial number to see if it's the same prefix as yours.
