Default Model 624

I have a Model 624 that I will be putting up for sale/trade. I just need to get a general idea of what kind of price range I should be asking for it. Can anyone help me out?

Its a 4" with no box or papers. Just the gun. Its in very good condition, I would rate it at 95%... I cant find any discernible scratches or dings on it. I'm thinking around $600 am I too high or low? Thanks for any help.

I would buy every one I saw for 600. You are a little low I think. 700 with a little wriggle room is more like it I think. Joe in GA

$600-$700 should put you in the right area. I sold a 6 1/2 inch earlier in the year for $600, but I think the 4 incher brings a bit more.

I would think a lot would depend on rather or not it falls into the serial number range of cylinder checks, and if you can show that it has been done if it did. Since they only mark the box on checked guns you would need some sort of paperwork from S&W. If it is outside the serial number range or you have had the check, then the $700 figure isn't out of line.

I just got off the phone with Smith and Wesson's service department. I gave them my serial number and they said my revolver was fine. It did not fall in the recalled serial number range.
