Standard barrel lengths were 4, 6 1/2, and 8 3/8. There were some special lengths made. There were about 500 5" made in late 50's and early 60's, and some in the 10" arena, with front adjustable sights. About 1980, the 6 1/2' length was replaced with the 6" when Smith standardarized their 6" and 6 1/2 lengths to 6". There were some others made that were one of a kind lengths. Perhaps someone else can remember others.
