Default Holster Recommendation for 657

I have a new 657 headed my way. What holster do you recommend. Either leather or nylon. Preferably in cross draw configeration.

short or long barrel?

I got a Lobo gunleather from a forum member here that I really like; pancake strong side, fits 3" & 4" really well. Extra bonus is as N-frame, it also fits the whole family regardless of caliber.

For woods walking I favor cross draw low rider shoulder style for the 8 3/8" tubes....sort of a "very low tanker style" that makes sitting and walking easy. I got a nylon Uncle Mikes rig.

6" I don't carry much.

Good choice of caliber

I like old El Paso Sadderly leather. I just gave my #2 holster (which I had made for a 657 Classic Hunter 6.5") to my son along with my M29-2.

My self I prefer leather holsters and wood grips! For my N-frames it depends on barrel length for 4, 5 or 6 inch guns I really like the Bianchi 5BHL strong side holsters. For my 8-3/8 inch guns I use a Bianchi Cyclone crossdraw which has the bonus of being able to be worn strong side also. For the long barrels I also have a Cattle Baron leather original Dirty Harry shoulder holster which works pretty nice.
