I'm looking to buy a used 37-2. With a Galco leather IWB, a pocket holster of some type and a box or so of ammo. Has original box and papers. Condition is described as great with tight lock up and very nice trigger, slight paint wear at muzzle. From the picts looks good, nice finish, it does have a drag line around cylinder. hammer not bobbed.
What do I need to look for in a airweight to be safe?
Price is $350 with transfer.

The timing was strange, the cylinder stop engaged just as the hammer fell, no click to stage just before the hammer drops.
And the cylinder notches for the lock all looked peened, the edges actually bent up, what causes this??

Judging from the looks of it, $350 is about what the retail price was when it was new, and it is not out of line today. That is bluing, by the way, and not paint on the barrel and cylinder, and the frame is anodized aluminum.

The things to look for on this revolver are the same things to look for on any revolver --- internal and external pitting, excessive cylinder endshake, timing gone off.
