Will 5" 627 PC holster fit 5" 686+ PS?

So I'm about to order a custom holster for my 686 Plus Pro Series with 5" barrel when I noticed the Performance Center holsters on S&W's website. Then I noticed the holsters for the 627 Performance Center 5" barrel. Both guns have the same tapered under lug but the 627 is an N frame with 8 round cylinder while the 686 is a L frame with 7 round cylinder. Both barrel lengths are 5" though and seem to be the same design. Since I haven't found any other 5" holsters for the 686, what are the chances that this one might fit?

I would call S&W and ask, before I ordered.

If the loose fit doesn't bother you you could probably get away with it. My personal take on it would be to order the custom fit holster. YMMV!
