Default New Older Model 64

Do not know when this was made. I suppose I will send the SN to Smith. I know it has the hammer with the firing pin integrated. It is pristine. Had to have it. My first older Smith and only my second revolver..other being a Ruger LCR.

Any ideas about this revolver?

As you said, it's an older Model 64 with aftermarket grips. The lack of a barrel pin indicates post '80 production. Thanks to an abundance of Police trade-ins they are one of the best values available in a S&W K Frame.

Mid to late '85, or thereabouts.
