Default 627 Questions

Did SW ever make a 627 6-shot with a 686 style barrel/under lug profile or the barrel/ER shroud profile of a standard 629. Maybe I am dreaming?? I already have several 627 PC 8 shots as well as the 5" 6-shot 627 Model of 1989 and an older 3.5" M27. Would really like to get a 627 4" 6-shot with one of the above barrel profiles. Recently found out the SL Variant speed loaders for the N .357's are available state side again and have the urge to do Icore Retro with one. May have to go with the 27 4" with the tapered barrel (which I don't care for).

Any info appreciated---Thanks

My 4" 627-5 has a standard round barrel without an underlug but it is an 8 shooter. Can you use an 8 shooter in ICORE Retro and just shoot six at a time? I had planned on shooting Retro this year but my 8 shooter works so well I'm staying with Limited. I have already forgotten the Retro rules.
