Can someone please enlighten me on the differences between a Model 10-6, Model 10-7 and Model10-8?

Thanks

The Model 10-6 has a heavy barrel and was introduced in 1962. The companion to the 10-6 was the 10-5 which had the tapered barrel. The Model 10-7 has the tapered barrel and was introduced in 1977. This change also included moving the gas ring from the yoke to the cylinder. The 10-8 is the companion to the 10-7 but it has the heavy barrel.

Hope this helps.

Steve

Thanks very much Steve. At an auction today (here in South Africa) neither the auctioneer nor a potential buyer knew the answers!
