45 auto-rim or moon clips?
What do you guys like? I can reload 45acp, can the same dies be used for auto rim? Or should I just stick with 1/2 or moon clips?

Same dies can be used for autorim. Need a new shell holder though. You can load hotter in the autorim as well. I load both, usually will load heavy stuff in the autorim and regular 230 ball stuff in 45 acp.

45 Auto Rim
I like the Auto Rim for the revolvers that I shoot. I have a pre 25 and a 1917, I prefer to shoot lighter, target loads through them as opposed to the loads that I shoot through my auto 45s. Shooting the Auto Rims help keep it simple to know what is what for me.

Both! I use the moon's for the standard .45 ACP's and the Auto Rim's for the heavy stuff, this ensure's they dont find thier way into a 1911.

I use both but I prefer the moon clips for the fast reloads. I have lots of metal moon clips but I usually use the Rimz plastic for the no tool use.

+1 for both. If I want speed loading I use moon clips and any load in autorim will only go in revolvers. I do not have a 1917 so no worries in my 25 and 625.

This, plus the fact that if you're just shooting at the range, A-R cases obviate the need to load and unload moonclips. Had a buddy with a 1950 Target in 45ACP, and we shot it almost exclusively with the A-R brass, because we were just plinking at the range and didn't have to mess with the moon clips that way. BUT, if you want fast reloading, there's NOTHING comparable to those full-moons.

I've got several 1911 45s and also a 625. I personally have one load that I use almost exclusively and that is in both semis and revolvers, so to me there is no need for 45AR brass. It's easier to just have it all the same. However, if I were inclined to have different loads for the revolver versus the semis, I'd change that up and using AR brass would help differentiate the loads. It just depends what your personal shooting needs and practices entail.

Both, but they make speed loaders for AR, I have a couple. Generally I like the AR brass and I can load it hotter that the acp stuff. Starline makes some really great 45 AR brass.

Auto Rim Brass
I use both. On the job I carry 12 rounds in belt loops in the Auto Rim. HKS makes a speed loader for AR model 25M. In my SAA and Taurus 455 I use the .45 Cowboy Special cases which is a ACP case with a .45 Colt rim.
