I have a pristine Model 586 no-dash with a 6 inch barrel, The serial number is AAC3****. How can I determine it's "date of birth?"

I have the book my friend. After buying my 3rd Smith in a month two years ago...I ran right down to the bookstore and picked it up. Best investment I have made.

Well, that's my mission today then too! Thanks again. FYI: This 586 shoots like a dream; they don't make 'em like that anymore.

I bought my 586 no dash in 1981 brand new for $230 when I was 19 years old (you were an adult at 18 back then). Foolishly sold it in 1995. I'll always regret it.
