Default Ladysmith like mine?

I got this Ladysmith 65-5 a long time ago...was told it was a Lew Horton Performance Center job.

.357 Magnum
3" Barrel
Round K frame
6 Shot
BNE918x
65-5
119 under a sideways S on the crane
Hammer mounted firing pin
Chromed forged hammer and trigger (not hollow)
Magnaported (2 on each side of the top of the barrel)
Fixed sights (with tiny Tritium tubes installed in the frame and factory ramp)

What can you tell me about it please?

Radagast at THR has suggested that it was a normal production Ladysmith that was given the works.

Does anyone here have it's twin?

Also...would the $50 fee for a letter from the factory likely be recouped or add to the value if I decide to sell it at some point?

Have not seen a Model 65 with the quad-porting before. I do like the night sight. I have a 65-5 Ladysmith and like it allot. The three inch shrouded barrel just seems to balance right.

Nice piece. I wish they weren't so pricey!

What do you consider pricey?

What might a going price on this one be?

I like my 65ls, it just feels right in the hand. I have never seen one done over like that before.

Not done over as far as I can tell...a factory job.

Hello-

This is as close as I can get...a younger "sister" to your "Lady." Still pre-lock though.

I know some guys have a bit of a issue with the whole "Lady Smith" tag...but in my humble opinion, I don't think the marriage of the following features can be beat:

1- K frame size & pointability
2- .357 magnum with that popular .38 special option
3- 3" barrel
4- Full shrouded ejector rod
5- Full ejection of empties in a compact barrel length
6- Fixed sights, (a big plus for me in a carry revolver.)

It may be a Lew Horton gun, but I don't believe it's out of the PC (it doesn't have the PC logo). Phone L.H. (508-366-7400) and give them the model and serial number, they'll tell you all about it if it was one of theirs. They sold a number of short run "Specials" over the years, including some that they sent to Mag-Na-Port for porting. Let us know what they tell you.
