If you slacks will accept 1 3/4" that's the one to get along with a Simply rugged Sourdough Pancake. My problems is that lots of my pants will take a max of 1 1/2" so that's what I use. The Sourdough Pancake still works great with the narrower belt. That combo will carry you 686-4 with ease; you can even use the stock Hogue grips if you like.

yup, i also got a 1 3/4" belt - from Galco couple years ago & likewise found it wouldn't fit "ANY" of my bluejeans. Too big. Suggest the 1 1/2" inch ones.

I use a S&W 1 3/4" gun belt and a Bianchi Cylcone holster. The S&W belt is very well made and sturdy. I really like the simplicity of the Bianchi. But it is quite versatile in that it can be used in normal or cross draw and has options for two different angles of cant.

I use a 1 3/4" belt and a Bianchi pancake style holster for my 4" S&W 686. This holster also works perfect for my 4" Colt Python. I also will ocassionally use a Bianchi paddle style holster for it.

Hey 6pack, did you end up getting the Chesty Puller? If so, how'd you like it?
