Longer barrel lenth on J Frames
Aside from looks, are there really any advantages to the longer length barrels on J frames ? (2 1/8", 2 1/5" over 1.875)?

on the 2.5 inch barrels, the extractor rod is full length. It's easier to eject spent casings.
