Default Bodyguard Issues

Hello All!

I just got the bodyguard revolver with the laser, and I have a few issues:

1. The laser - It seems that the laser stopped working, and I brought it back to the dealer, they took the laser off. They were able to get it working. Then it wouldn't reattach to the gun. The screw wouldn't screw all the way in.

2. The Grip - Are there any aftermarket grips like Hogue that have finger inserts. And if so, how do you get the original grip off?

3. The front Sight - Is there a replacement front sight that would be easier to acquire than the original black one?

Steve

According to a S&W phone rep, there eventually will be a better recoil absorbing grip to replace the current grip, but there is nothing on the horizon regarding a different front sight ala the LCR Dot Tritium.

I'm going to give my BG38 front sight a luminous paint job. You can bet that if the BG38 sells, within two years S&W will have its own version of the Ruger Dot Tritium front sight.

Steve, what would you estimate the trigger pull weight to be on your BG38? Mine is way off my eight pound scale.

My laser stopped working I just removed it replaced the battery.

Pretty simple to replace the battery, using the allen key that came with your gun. Just follow directions in your booklet. Hope this helped you!

When searching old posts, you should check the date. 5 1/2 year old post are not likely to be responded to by the OP's. You could send them a PM and they might respond, if they still come to this forum. Ivan

It is automatically added by the advertisers on certain key words or phrases, the link was not added by the poster.

If you point your mouse to the link a popup will say "Link added by VigLink"

Doh! Just realized this is a 5 year old thread! Missed Ivan's post... oh well my post answers a question that was posted yesterday....
