Model 14-5 - fitting Round butt Grips into a Square Frame?
Hello,
first post on this forum.
I have a model 14-5 (square frame) and was wondering if it would be possible to route-out a Round frame grip (for the square frame)?
I'm a lefty and it's hard to find great grips. Even harder to pass up on a deal. I have an oportunity to get a left hand Nill grip that's setup for a Round frame. I was going to route it out to fit (should be enough material) ?
It normally fits models: 10, 13, 15, 16, 17.....
here's a pic:

Thanks

The short answer - maybe. If Nill uses the same stock blank for square and round butt stocks and simply changes the inletting it should work. The K square butt at the bottom is 1.75", you can ask the seller if there is room to spare...
I'd photograph the Mod 14 frame, with a ruler in the picture along the gun butt. Send to Nill, along with a picture of the Nill grips, and then ask if it were possible. Include any model numbers on the Nill grips. Good Luck.
