Default The model 66-3 F Comp PCP, (Performance Center Ported)

The F Comp is named such because Smith and Wessons factory designation for the stainless K frame is 'F frame'.
(Standard catalog 3rd. bottom pg. 170)

I traded a model 27-2 blue 6" for this, and would do it again.
I do like the 3" model 66s', maybe too much.
I'm working on a complete set ,and searching for the elusive 'Super K" .

As best as i can figure ,the PCP serial prefix stands for

'Performance Center ,Ported' mine is #157 of 300 supposedly made.

Here are the pictures.

Good luck to you in finding your grail gun, this certainly is one of mine.

Regards,
Allen Frame

Wearing a set of grips handcrafted by VM.

Here ,with the rest of the bunch.
66-2 1985 ,66-3 1988 ,66-3 F comp 1993 ,66-4 magna port 1996 66-5 3.25" 2001 , 66-5 3.25" 2002.

Nice set of guns.

When shooting Magnum loads does the comp and the Magna Port, make a difference in the recoil?

If so which one do you like the best?

Allen, I have #088. I bought mine as a used gun. Mine also has PCP0141 on it. Bought mine in 1997. Right after I bought mine I seen another identical one at another gun shop. That one had a ivory diamound inset in the grip. I got this paper with mine. Mine and the other didnt have the uncle mike grip as shown on the paper. These were suppose to be made for lew horton, however I suspect most were sold from regular gunshops. Quite possibly it may be the ultimate gunmans gun! At least it has all the bells & whistles. Sure feels good in the hands. I need to get my trilijon sight charged up or whatever thay do to make it glow better.

Allen, You are killing me with that collection EVERY time I see it! Have a Ashland 3" 66-2 but could always use another 3" 66. Especially an F Comp like yours. Glad I paid the big sum of $275.00 for mine back in 85.

Mines wearing Ahrends Boot Grips and I polished it up a bit. My all time favorite S&W! Used to carry and shoot the heck out of it but now only feed it .38's and it will still outshoot most 4 and 6" revolvers
