Yes, Mine was shipped 30 Jun 10 (ordered it 30 Dec 09) from S&W. Recieved 1 Jul 10 which came with 3 moon clips. (TK Custom) Dont use Winchester or Starline brass. You'll be able to use the moon clips, speed strips, speed loaders or loose rounds in the cylinder. Came with two useless ILS keys and have only fired it a very limited amount considering I only shoot it twice before coming back to Astan.

I will be picking up my new 642 Pro with moon clips very soon, so why do you say not to use the Winchester or Starline brass?

I've had my 442 for about six weeks now. It's a great little gun (made me remember how much I like shooting wheel guns after a decade of shooting 1911s).
I paid a premium for the Pro-series 442 for two reasons: no lock and the ability to use moon clips. I still love the no lock, but thus far the moon clip option hasn't worked well.
I have yet to find a make of brass that works well. In fact, after trying some Double Tap, Fiocchi, Speer, and Remingtons, the Remingtons are the only ones that let me get the cylinder closed. And even then, the rims ride high enough that it is difficult to pull the trigger.
I've given up on the moon clips as a viable option until I can find a type of ammunition that works.

No Winchester or Starline brass is what the manufactuer of the moon clips suggest (TK Custom). I've used Magtech and Federal without issues. The last round on and first off the moon clip is a bear however. I'm going to make a demooner when I get the time.

The clips that come with the gun should be .020 thick. These should be used with Winchester , Speer gold dot and Hornady critical defense ammo. TK Cuctom makes a .025 clip for Reminton, federal , and Starline. There may be other sources for the clips. TK custom' s are quite expensive.

The ability to use moon clips makes it worth finding the right brass to fit them.
Moon clips aren't just about being able to drop an entire "bloc" of rounds into the gun...they're also about being able to EJECT an entire "bloc" of empty cases with absolutely ZERO worry about a single case becoming trapped beneatch the ejector star. (I realize J-frame stars don't jut out as far as the larger guns).
Aside from a bit of range shooting, a J-frame is going to be carried A LOT and shot VERY LITTLE, but if and when the day comes when it needs to be shot "a lot" having spare ammo mounted in clips beats speed loaders every which-a-way....and don't EVEN pretend "speed strips" have a place in the modern world!
