Birdsong finish
The finish on the revolver shown is from W.E. Birdsong in Mississippi Web site : Black-T.com. I had revolvers and autos done in 1990 with their finish and they have lasted all these years in some real harsh envoirments . The revolver shown is in Nato green & Black t. Their web site is really worth taking the time to review. A truly American Family owned business, with freindly people who care about their customers.

Yeah, but the AD said it was factory. Meaning S&W had birdsong do this finish, but I have only seen a birdsong finish on performance center revolvers. I am trying to find out if anyone has a 629 like it (non-PC model) ?

I've got a Kimber Compact Custom done up in their desert tan and Black-T. The finish has held up great.

I don't know about a distributor, but I've seen several of these in AK. I had a Kimber .45 acp done in black T by Birdsong. It's awesome......

I remember a Performance Center revolver with this Black-T/Green-T combo. But the revolver pictured has a MIM trigger so it's not a PC gun.

I seem to recall a production run of these for either Camfour or RSR.

Try sending an e-mail to qa@smith-wesson for info . I did that on my Whitetail Hunter to find out info on the gun . They were very helpful .
