Just got my 586 back from S&W after recall bushing and hammer work. Wow! What fast service!
Now for the quirky part. As most S&W affecinados know, nothing sounds like the smooth rhythmic clicks of the hammer being cocked, and the last almost unnoticeable last click when the hammer falls. Well, after my hammer job, when my hammer falls there is a very disernable "clank" metalic sound kind of like a jail cell door slamming shut. Nothing like the light sound it made before the recall work.
Am I being too picky, perhaps too tight a mainspring that needs the screw tensioner let out a bit, or what?
