Anyone have a 632? Opinions??
I find myself drawn to the 4" 632 my pusher has on every visit. I don't know why... the comp, black finish, J-frame grip and lockwork, and that $750 price all put me off. Still, I liked popping away with a 4" .32 H&RM SP-101 several years ago - except for the oversized chambers, which over-worked the brass resulting in very short case lives. A proper S&W in that - or the .327 Magnum - caliber - may be the answer. I have 1,200+ .32 S&WL rounds left...
Seriously, anyone have experience with one?

I really like mine it would be one of the last to go if I had to give up my guns. You can get it in a stainless finish.

Well, it is a 3" afterall. The only one listed in the '09 & '10 catalog is the black one - SKU 170329. The '10 catalog does have a new bright SS 2.1" with night sights shown - SKU 178046. A call to S&W just now resulted in a "It's got a lot of backorders, but we haven't made them yet." I got the same answer when I asked about the new 3" 63. She also said, when asked about the bright SS version of the 3" black power port, "We really make a lot of guns... did you check our website?". I'm batting a zero this week - the 'new guy' at the gun store the other day, when quizzed about a new S&W, said "I dunno... I haven't read a gun mag in over ten years... don't keep up with this ****.". Tired of me, he walked over to the next customer. I heard him, moments later, repeating what he had told me. I guess Taco Bell had a layoff. I understand how gun auction sites stay so busy!

The stainless finish 3" is a Sports South exclusive. Bud's gun shop is showing both the black and stainless in stock.
The stainless finish is actually a few $ cheaper. The black is #170329 the stainless is #178045.
The 2" was supposed to be out some time ago they don't seem to be in any hurry.

Yeah, the 2" 632, like their 3" 63, isn't even on their build schedule, the last time I checked (Last week!).
Anyone else have experience with the currently available 632??

Bob - I followed up on your post and bought a Sports South SS version to go with the factory 'black' model.
What is interesting to the person's comment about calling S&W and their reply about checking their web page. I might have missed something BUT the Sports South model is NOT referenced on the S&W page at all[unless, like I said that I overlooked it]!!
When I called Sports South they said they ONLY had 198 pcs. of their exclusive - tough to sell if S&W doesn't aid in it a bit?? Just my thoughts.

They sure do make a nice set.
I couldn't find them on S&Ws web page, would have helped if it was listed.
When I was first offered one by a dealer (by phone) I turned it down because it was described as stainless and didn't mention the finish.
Someone posted a picture here on the forum and I tracked it down from there.

I have one of the stainless steel versions and simply love it. I've shot the 327, 32 H&R and 32 Long through it so far. It is accurate, comfortable and, with the 327 ammo, quite loud!
