PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. It is not paint, but a very durable and tough finish. I have finish on a few of my revolver cylinders and it is fantastic.

Great question. I've been wondering the same thing.

I really like the finish on my 442. I'd even like to get some of older guns refinished with the exact same finish...if that's even possible.

Funny thing about this gun is how I didn't have any interest in a DAO wheelgun...thinking they were inaccurate and all but useless.

How WRONG is was. This little sucker is a handy, snagfree gun that will be with me when I need it. Once I redifined the purpose for it, the gun made perfect sense. So glad I got it.
