Default Not for the faint of heart

Unless I'm badly mistaken, this one has been worked over by Dr. Bubba. And the prognosis is not good...

Did someone actually think this was a good idea?

If that was/is a factory pinto, it's worth far more than what they are asking. You can't really tel from that one ****** pic though. Any other info on it?

I don't even know how that would be done......twisting off the barrel, nickeling it and twisting it back on?!!?

I do know S&W made a few "two tone" Model 29's with that same scheme, nickel barrel and cylinder, rest blued but I doubt this was factory.

Here is my "creation" but it's a Ruger, and not an old S&W

They used nickel barrels and nickel cylinders in place of blued ones during assembly. S&W made more than just 29's in the two tone "pinto" configuration.

from the pic looks as if it could even be a barrel and cylinder polished down to the 'white' . . . . . if you double click on the ad photo you can see an enlargement

I was expecting a beat up old gun with bad turn lines or rebluing. Those things don't bother me a bit in a shooter. But that one I couldn't stomach. Yuk. Hope I don't offend any of you who like such things but please don't surprise me on my birthday with that one!

Talking

If it's a S&W pinto there are guys in this forum that collect them and are happy to find them. If it's someone's own master piece then it won't sell for much and find little interest up here.

No wonder here why you don't see them like that every day.I don't want to be surprised with something like that either.

Check the 1896-1950 section because I just bought that pistol for $500. I think it's the real deal. So funny it's posted here.

And I am not one you would describe as "Faint of heart." I know the OP meant no disrespect, let's just say that I like to gamble and can understand how at first look it does appear suspicious.
