Default 41 mag snubbies with heavy loads?

Anyone shoot their 3.5 inch barreled 657 snubbies with heavy Buffalo Bore or Double Tap ammo? How bad is felt recoil?

Any opinions of the 4" model 57's with the same loads?

I hand load with 2400 and 215 gr jacketed in my 657 three inch. It puts out a nice fireball and concusion. Never put it over the crony though.

210 gr. Speer Gold Dots are the strongest FACTORY rounds that go through my 3" 657 and are a handful but manageable with a firm grip and proper stance. I do not use the pretty combats as they suck in absorbing recoil and will bloody my hand within six stout loads. A good set of rubbers that cover the backstrap really help. I carry it with a set of Ahrends combats that I've sanded down to custom fit them to my hand and remove the sharp edges on the finger grooves. A pair of shooting gloves plus double hearing protection also make a big difference in perceived recoil. I haven't tried out the Buffalo Bores but after reading your post am going to try them in my 6". Sounds like a great deer/hunting round!

Here they are:
DoubleTap Ammunition

Buffalo Bore Ammunition | Strictly Big Bore - Strictly Business[search]=&s[title]=Y&s[short_desc]=Y&s[full_desc]=Y&s[sku]=Y&s[match]=all&s[cid]=18

I was thinking about the heavy cast bullet loads as a woods gun.
