Default S&W 649 price check

Come across this nice little 649, and wondered what a good price would be. It's a pre lock, unsure what exact date not seen it in hand yet. Have agreed to pay $500 if everything checks out, and I like it. Looks clean in the picture.

Seems a little high. What does it come with?
This was late 2012 but I bought a 649-3 357 mag with case and papers for $450.
And 638s new are selling for $409 plus tax. You might want to shop a little.

The price is very good. The .357 no lock dash 3 was made for a very short time. Having no IL it is the most desired of the .357 offerings. I'd be on it fast if I were looking for a .357 649.

I think it comes with the box, not sure what else it comes with. He's unable to sell it this weekend, so will be having a look early next week. Its only a 40 minute drive too, which is a plus. I offered $500 which I thought was a fair price, and not a lowball offer. Its seems to getting harder and harder to find these snubbies without the IL.

$500 face to face is a good deal.

Is it a 357? If so run to get it. If not its still a decent deal especially if you don't want an IL.

Says it's a 357, so will be checking it out Tuesday. Barring anything major wrong, I'll be buying it.

You will to love it! It's my favorite carry J frame. It's very accurate and the 357s are not bad with the steel frame and good grips. I shoot a cylinder of .357s at every range sessions but usually carry .38spl +P in 1st chambers and 357 in last 2. I have a DeSantis ankle holster that is made for these and I use a Galco pocket in summer with cargo shorts. IWB in a custom leather rig.

I'm looking forward to carrying this if I get it. I've been carrying the Ruger SP101, but this seems a little smaller, and lighter. I was carrying the Shield for a while, but have gone off the plastic guns. Nothing beats a revolver IMO.

Good deal. These are increasingly hard to find. I paid $725.00 for a brand new one last year. Go for it. I put on HiViz sights and it's the best shooting snub ever made IMHO.
