Default Saw something new at the gun store

Saw a chief's special (60), stainless, 357, 5" barrel (lock gun), adjustable sights. Used, no box. Could have gotten it for 450 out the door. Ended up getting two other guns instead.

Manager said these were not that uncommon to find used. Maybe next time. Anyone have one of these? What are they worth in good condition?

I've got the same one (Model 60-18) and it is a hand full with .357 rounds. With 38spl it is a pleasure to shoot. The longer sight radius improves getting rounds on target. I got mine new and as such paid a little more.

I like the J frame 5" barrel enough that I picked up a Model 63-4 (.22lr) for fun. I can practice at .22lr prices before using the more costly .38/.357 rounds. One day (after about 2 thouand .38spl rounds not fired) the 63 will have paid for itself in ammo savings.
