Default 629 3" Talo in place of a 696?

As the 696s are out of production is the Talo 3" 629 a reasonable substitute for shooting .44 specials out of a short barreled package? Thanks, Dennis

Thanks, Dave. Does anyone own the Talo 629 3" and shoot a lot of .44 specials in it? Do you like it as a platform for the .44 special? Thanks, Dennis

I have a 3" Model 629-5 and a 696. Have shot quite a bit of .44 Spec through both of them. I certainly prefer the 696 but the 629 has a nice grip that fits my hand well. The benefit of the 629 is that it holds one more round and can shoot .44 mag also.
