Just picked up one of the .44 Special Model 21 closeouts from Buds. First to go were the factory stocks, followed by the thumbpiece. As I can't leave well enough alone, I'm thinking I'd like to replace the half moon front sight for a McGivern gold bead one. Found one that might do the job. It is from JDM:



Wondering if anyone has fitted one to their fixed sight Smith and how it worked out? Understand its a few thou shorter then the original, but I can probably adjust loads to compensate for any POI change.

A friend had that exact sight fit to his,,,It looks good to me too.

I really love that sight. I don't know why it wouldn't be a good one for your 21. I've put it on my 24-3, 624, and 60-10.
