Default Model 637 Replacement Grips

I have a new Model 637 J-frame round-butt Airweight. I would like to replace the factory rubber grips with checkered wood grips, but I have heard that the standard J-frame, round-butt grips will not fit properly this model. Will standard J-frame, round-butt grips fit this model?

Thanks.

do a search for Kelley grips. I replaced my rubber grips on my 637 and now it not only feels better in the hand, it is more controllable. They have a variety of styles and prices. I paid $40 for mine.

They should fit. Check out Hogues website and handgungrips.com. There are a lot of grips for J frames out there.

Used to have a 637 - put Ahrends cocobolo grips on it. These weren't checkered but imagine they'd have them.
