Default S&W gun names

Anybody have a link to a list of the names S&W
has/had on thier revolvers? I know some of them
but can't recall the L and N frames

Yes, and no.

The name for the 581 is The .357 Distinguished Service Magnum. The 681 is The .357 Distinguished Service Magnum Stainless. The 586 is The .357 Distinguished Combat Magnum, the 686 is...

I don't have link but the SCSW 3rd has a couple very good lists of the names.

only other L frame I can think of right off is the
696 let me guess

44 DIstinuished Combat Special Stainless ?
