DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TWO 629-3's
I have a 629-3 in the Classic design, with the full underlug barrel. the rear sight is the type that is rounded on the front end.
A friend has a 629-3 that is the 6" half underlug type barrel. It has the eariler style rear sight that is square at the front end.
What is the deal? They are both stamped 629-3.
I thought the sight change with be an engineering change. Any and all input is accepted.
Thanks, John

That's just the way they do.
I have three revolvers that do not have pinned barrels, although the dash designates they fall within the revision change (two are magnums with recessed cylinders). And another that has MIM lockwork but the dash revision predates the MIM change.
They just like keeping us on our toes.
