Model 60, 3" .357 question
Could someone tell me which 'dash' models of the Model 60 are .357 and post a picture or two? I am possibly interested in obtaining one, and am confused about which are .38 and which are .357. I am looking for a 'plain sight' one, not one with target sights. Thanks.

Does yours have the 'lock'. I don't know enough about the various model 'dashes' to know the difference. I would enjoy seeing a picture of yours, if you have one to share.
Merry Christmas

I have a 60-10 that's a prelock 3" 357. If memory serves, that was the first 357. The 60-9's were 3" 38 spl.

The 60-9 is chambered in 357 Magnum, has an exposed hammer with MIM action parts and is pre-lock. It also has a 3" full underlug barrel.

Then THAT'S the one I owned. I always get the -9 and -10 cornfused. The -10 must be 2 inch.
Whatever, I owned the 3 inch full-lugged. Wish I could get it back.

Just happen to have a photo of a 3 inch 60-4 with after market bantams and a 3 inch 36-6 with the factory Hogues. They're both .38 Specials however.

I guess I'm wrong about the 60-9, but I'm absolutely sure my 60-10 is exposed hammer, adjustable sights, MIM, 3" full underlug barrel, 357 mag.
Is the 60-9 fixed sights?

The 60-9 has fixed sights, while the 60-10 has adjustable sights. They both have 3" barrels, and I think they were produced at the same time. These were the last of the pre-lock Model 60s.

Now I'm not so sure about the 60-9's barrel length. It might be shorter than 3".

I have a 60-9 that I bought from a guy, He stated that Smith and Wesson installed the bobbed hammer for Him. It is the 2 1/8 inch version and is a 357 Mag.

60-9 is a pre-lock 2 1/8 and the 60-14 is post lock of the same. Both have fixed sights. I believe the -15 is 3"
