Model 15 new Classic barrel profile
I was just looking at the Classic line on the website and realized that the Model 15 has a shrouded ejector rod but the Model 18 doesn't. I am probably the last person to notice this, but better late than never.

The new M15, if they ever make any, is more or less a M19 in 38 Special. We'll never see any more K frame 357's. The gun in question is #150716 and has been listed almost a year with none available yet. I spoke with a service rep at the factory. He indicated that they had less than a thousand orders nationwide for that model with production not scheduled soon. Bob!

I didn't realize that they had never actually been made. I kind of thought about getting one when I first saw it, the AF issue ones I carried looked somewhat less nice than the new ones. Not high on my list of guns I wanted, but one of those it would be nice to have if I ever got that far down the list.

Listed for a year, with less than 1000 ordered. In my line of work we call that a clue.

It might be too soon for a Model 15 "Classic", prices for used S&W's is down and you can still get an older one for $300 plus the latest 15's rolled out 10 years ago or so.
If they made it a 19 "Classic" in .357 I guarantee they would have 10's of thousands of orders, not 1000.

Yeah, and I bet with moderm metalurgy they could make it reasonably durable. It has been many years since they lowered the pressure ceiling on the .357 anyway when they changed how they measured it.
