Im seeking a S&W 357 revolver snub nose with a bobbed shrouded hammer for conceal carry, similar to a taurus 651...anybody have any clue as to a S&W model number I can search for?...Thanx...Bob

it should be a model 640, i have one it is a 5 shot j frame conceled hammer.i am not familiar with any model in the taurus line.

If you are looking for the concealed hammer, the model 340 (alloy) or 640 (steel) frame. The shrouded hammer version that you can still use single action is the model 649.

It appears the 649 comes in 38 special AND 357....I want the 357... Do you know if it only comes in stainless or can be had in blue?

There is no blued 49 in .357, they were only in .38 Special and discontinued a few years ago.
