Default Hogue N-Frame Round-to Square Butt Conversion Grips?

I've always been very happy with all the Hogue grips I've used over the years, so when I saw that Midway had a set of N-Frame round to square butt conversion grips in Rosewood, I ordered them. I'll be putting them on a new-to-me Model 25Mountain Gun with the round butt frame.

Anyone here had any personal experiences with these "conversion" grips? I love the Hogue fancy hardwood grips on my square-butt 27, so I'm hoping these will fit my hand about the same way. Hopefully they won't show any big gaps...

Cheers,
Tom

Not the hardwood ones but I have a set (from S&W) on a Model 28 that has been converted to a round butt and love them.

I know the rubber ones completely cover the backstrap...I wonder if this is how the wood version changes the shape of the grip frame, by completely covering it. The round but grips on this revolver and my J frame both expose the backstrap, and the square butt wood Hogue's on the model 27 show the backstrap as well.

Anybody know?
Cheers,
Tom

The rubber round-to-square monogrip only covers the back of the grip frame about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom. The wood round-to-square monogrip fits the same way.

These are not N-frames but the rear two sport Hogue conversion grips.

Why S&W put a RB on an N frame with a 5.5" barrel I do not know, but these round to square grips make it right.

I bought these grips from Hogue's auction site for seconds. Don't look like seconds to me!

Hey, thanks for the responses. I love the grips with the checkering and bottom caps, but they're really hard to find w/o special ordering, a long wait, and corresponding high price. These are the grips I found at Midway

I hope they fit well..

Cheers, Tom
