Buffalo Arms sells brass 410 shotgun shells. Obviously there are projectiles that would fit. A custom set of reloading dies and a shell holder could be ordered (I've done that). So with the Governor you could fire a new 410 round. What do you think?

There's a lot that one could do with such a load. W/ cast bullets one could come up improve it's horsepower quite a bit. Would be fun to try. Are you thinking about giving it a go? Some of your other projects have been good reads.

I stayed away from the Taurus because, well, it was a Taurus. This Smith revolver first struck me as nuts but the longer I think about the more interesting it becomes.

If you could make the brass 410 shells into a true revolver cartridge with a cast bullet, etc. it might be an interesting experiment. And I hear that somewhere Lyman has a 410 slug load so that would be a good starting point for the right powder charge.

So this is an experiment that could be interesting, especially if it were coupled with accuracy studies that also included firing the 45 ACP and 45 Colt.

Worth a try.

And another interest aspect to me is that of all the cartridges I've loaded, probably well over 80, 45's have always been comparative failures. Never got good accuracy out of any of them. No idea why. So this would be another chance to correct that failure.

I'd start looking at the old 12ga Paradox rounds and go backwards from there.

If the 45 colt fits in that long cylinder, try 460 mag brass loaded with Trail Boss powder and 200gr lead bullet. ???
