Gun shop find today
I stopped into my friends gun shop today and there laying in the case was a absolutely mint 15-3 2”. I have been looking for one of these for ever and this one has not a mark on it and barely a turn line but no box. Well this was not a good time for me to buy so what could I do? Well I went home and got my 340MP that I had planned to keep and traded it for the 15 and a nice 4006. The 15 appears to be from 1975 and the 4006 from 1993. Did I mention the 15 looks absolutely new? Now if I could figure out how to add pics.

I like my M&P340 too much to ever get rid of it. But, congratulations on the new ones.

It's odd how a gun will sometimes jump out at you from a case like that. Sometimes they'll even whisper to me from a hidden dark corner of the cabinet. That's a very nice find, and I would have made that trade too!

Thanks everyone. I really wanted another K-frame snub and this one is mint. I just couldn’t let it slip away. My pic’s are not very good and don’t do it justice. The 4006 is also nice with just a bit of holster wear but it was just to fill out the trade. I really liked the 340 but I can buy another any time which is not the case with the 15.

Congratulations on your trade! The 15 snub has been on my want list for quite a while. The OTHER is a 25-7. I guess if I was rich, would have both. I did trade my 686-3, 6" for a 29-2 nickel 4" at the last gun show even up. Both extremely nice. Bob

Please don't worry too terribly much about the pics. I'm thrilled you were able to snag TWO lovely guns for one M&P 340! At one time, the 15 snub was a grail gun for me, no longer. I would definitely shoot the 15. And keep it. Few guns are better, IMHO. Good shooting!

It is hard to beat a 2" model 15. You did well.

Add some Tylers
Every time I pick mine up I can feel my nose go square, just like Det. Dick Tracy.

Yep, I’d have made that trade in a heartbeat. I have no idea what that works out to in dollars, but you definitely did the right thing, regardless. Good shootin’,

Good find. I have a 15 2" I picked up for a song years ago surplus from the CA DMV. It is a fine, fine weapon.

I absolutely LOVE my 15-3 snubbie! So much so that I had to get a 2nd one. Just wait until you shoot it. They are phenomenal shooters and ALOT of fun. Congratulations!

You got not one but two fine firearms. I'd say you're way ahead.

Nice 15-3, congrats.
I bought a 2" model 15-2 from a very close friend and retired former co-worker a few months back. He passed three weeks ago. Yeah, that 15 has become a treasured possession.

You will love it. 2" Mod 15's don't know they aren't target models.

Enjoy. It is always good to pick up something nice. My gun buying has been sidelined by work issues. I look forward to buying a few more when the time is right.
