Default S&W 631, 32 H&R Magnum, Price Check

I am looking at a 631 in original box, slight ring looks like 98%. What price to offer the gentleman. I have tried to find out any that have sold and havent found any.
This is the one that the 3rd addtion book say only 190 made without the laser inscribed Ladysmith marking.

You did not mention barrel length, if you can get it for under $500.00 your doing good. I probably have 6 of them, and have passed them to my kids. The seller should set the price in my opinion. That way your not under or over value it. Having said that all of mine were purchased for over $500.00. Good luck and keep us up to date!! I got this from a forum member that had one post and one S&W!!

2" barrel, I will offer $ 500. He is hinting at $ 800. I think it might even pay that, dont want to but I may not see one again.

Floyd, $500.00 is a good place to start haggling. Compromise is the key here!! His price probably has a little wiggle room. Split the difference $675.00.

I have also been looking for one of these with a 2" barrel and the only one I could find was online somewhere, also at $800 or more. I don't know if people are willing to pay that much (I'm not) but it seems to be the starting point.

Just get a model 30 or 31 and have the cylinder holes reamed out to accept .32 mags. Used 30 or 31s can be had for as little as $300. No sense in paying $800 for the same thing.

There is a LNIB 2" 631 on GB right now with a reserve that has not been met and a $1500 BIN. Maybe your seller has seen it and considers his price to be a bargain based on that?

Over the past year I have acquired a 631, 631 Ladysmith and a 632, all great little revolvers. Got the Ladysmith cheap and the other two at what I considered to be decent prices. Passed up a couple that I thought were overpriced along the way, just kept looking and tried to stay patient.
