Default 625 Model of 1989

Anyone know where I can find one of these and how much I should expect to REASONABLY pay? I want the 4 inch only.

All assistance will be met with much appreciation as this has been frustrating thus far.

Saw one with 4 holsters for 650 and missed it by a hair.

I cannot help you but I CAN tease you: 625-6 Model of 1989:

My 4" is a 625-8 Jerry Miculek Special:

These are BOTH superb revolvers in every way.

On a scale of 1-10, I would rate the 625-6 at #9.5 and the 625-8 JM at #10.

Here is my 625-4 5 inch. I paid 750 for it here in ca a year or so ago. I would buy it again at that price in a heart beat and I know a bunch of people here in ca that would do the same.

Might as well add to your suffering..mine is a Performance Center 5"(not a model of 1989) bought from a member of this forum..and it really performs !
Keep watching and one will show up. It took me several months to find mine and then through the graciousness of the member he let me make payments on it until it was paid for. Good Luck and when you find one make sure you show it off on here...it is expected!
For what it is worth ....there is a model of 1988 in the want ads forum here that just came up. Hope it is not to late for you !

I bought a 4" 625 JM a couple weeks ago and paid $685 with box, lock, & papers. A pre lock 625 could run you as much as $800 or as little as what ever someone asks for it. A local gun shop in my area has a 4" 625JM, no box but about 30 moon clips and a holster, for $775+tax. PM me for their info if your interested. Here is a pic of my 625 JM:

"Model of 1989" is a vague designation, as it was used across all of the variations. Lock, pre-lock, MIM, color cased, chromed, lock stud, no lock stud, barrel length, etc.

Price will depend greatly on the specific features. Also, the lower the dash number, the higher the price.

By all means, keep looking! Go to the big guns shows and go ahead and bid on one at the auctions! I have the 625-6 with the 5" barrel and an UltraDot mounted on the excellent Millet Rings and bases. Last bullseye match I was in I shot a 188/200 slow fire at 50 yards and had a clean 100-4x rapid fire target. These guns shoot! Mine shoots 2.5 inch groups at 50 yards for 10 shots when shooting the H&G 68 style 200 grain lead bullets and around 4 grains of bullseye or 4.2 grains of 700-X or 5 grains of W231. Have fun!
Bill

I would say no, but you may be looking for a while. I just happened on a 3" that was well within your budget. I have been breaking my gun budget on some deals lately. Maybe some people are cleaning their safes out for some pocket money. You could get lucky.

I found a 625-3 4-inch at my local pusher, "kinda NIB" (it came from the estate of a collector who didn't shoot his guns), for $700 about a year-and-a-half ago. No longer unshot! It's a great gun and I was happy to find it.
