Default performance center model 629

Hey everyone
i am seriously considering a model 629 performance center 44 mag, 7-1/2 '' barrel and wood grips, i will be monting a scope on the gun if purchased

is there noticable performance differences in the performance center models over the standard models, how far can i prdict the accuracy of this gun at, can i expect accuracy at 75 yards, i was also considering a 460 but reloading componants are a little on the pricey side

one other question i have for you guys is , 2 years ago i bought a smth 1911, the sights on the gun suck and i would like to change them, everywhere i look for sights it asks what frame,
it seems there is a secret code to what gun you have
any help would be apprciated

thank you

remmag;
When ordering sights for the Smith 1911 be sure and have the Smith model # ready along with the barrel length. That should be enough information for them to ship you the correct sights.

A good .44 Magnum with a GOOD shooter behind it should be 100% at 100 yards or so from field positions. I would expect group size in the vicinity of 5" at 100 yards with a good cast Keith at 1300 fps. I have a couple of scoped .44 Magnums (a Model 29 Smith 8 3/8" barrel and a Ruger Red Hawk with 7½" barrel and they will both better that group size). I have taken several deer with each (all but one are one shot kills) at ranges to 85 yards. My "thing" is NOT to see how far I can shoot a deer but how CLOSE I can get. My closest is 10 yards...
