Question Found A 2" 60-14 .357 Have a question if the Pawn Shop Price is OK.

Found a 60-14 Stainless 2" in really nice condition at a pawn shop for $449.00 comes with the box and the papers. Just want to find out what going prices on these are and if this is a good selling price. I have it on hold until tomorrow and want your advice if it is a good deal or not????
Thanks,

I would buy it before someone else does. Fair price if in good condition. On gunbroker they have sold for around $ 400.00. You would then have the shipping and handling costs to get it shipped to you. That would be up to $50.00.

Offer $ 400.00 if you want it.

Thanks Floyd
I went ahead and decided I would get it... it is a 2002 mfg model and is in really nice shape, almost new. Could stand a good cleaning and everything is tight.

That's a good pickup -- I have read that the J-Magnum frame is one of S&W's proudest engineering achievements -- lotta work went into beefing up the J-frame internals to handle magnum loads.

I've got one and it's a great shooter...

I have a -9 that gets shot more than most ever would. It is a very nice shooter so it gets carried a lot, and I use it as a example for my NRA class. Students first shoot a 4" 686 with 158gr 38 special, then 158gr full house 357.

Then they shoot the 60-9 with 158gr 38 special, then 158gr full house 357.

I think it is a very good example to those who might otherwise learn the hard way.

I always shoot it first and many are just as happy to see and hear me do it and just shoot the 38s. Some of the real cowboys try the 340SC too, normally it sound like this: BOOM, OUCH!

Here is a link to one in my area for $525:
Spokane Gun Trader • View topic - WTS- Smith & Wesson Model 60 (.357 Mag.)
Guy has been trying to sell his for over a month and cant move it at that price. I think $450 would be about what they would go for used so you're not getting ripped off.

I bought my as-new 60-14 from an individual for $525 but it came with a Safariland holster, two speedloaders, pouch and about 200 rounds of .38 ammo, reloading dies and a Cabela's plastic sack full of brass. I actually thought I paid too much.

I've seen them used for a lot more than that, so you got a good deal!

So, I have a 60-12 in .38 special. Does it have the beefier parts that the .357 magnum versions do?

I picked one up used for over 500. I would buy it cause it's a great revolver. I used to own a Ruger LCR and it was painful to shoot more than 3 rounds (i assume round means bullets...new at shooting). The co-owner of the range sold it to me. Awesome buy.
