It's hard to improve on a 4" K-frame. Happy shooting.

I have a 2 1/2" -1...the -1 is, in my mind, one of the great modern classics.

I've got a 66 2.5 no dash. I agree completely with you.

You can't go wrong with these unless you sell them.
I picked up a 66-1 4", then a 66-1 6" and then a no dash all SS 4" in the past couple of months. Once I got one and fired it.... well I'm still looking for more, really "need" a 2 1/2" now.
Thanks for sharing and nice picture.

I have a 4" Model 66-1 also, and find it one of the most versatile handguns in my collection. Thanks for the post,
Jerry

You can't go wrong with the 66. It is one of those pistols that have all the good and none of the bad in their class. I know many old police officers that lament trading their 66's in for autos when it was expected, and all swear they will own a 66 again. So will I.

I have a 66-1 with all paperword and original box and love it. This gun is hard to beat. As a younger man I carried a model 19 as stainless was hard to get at the time. I trained and qualified with it as a reserve officer and it too was the best. I only regret that I sold it years ago.
I akso have a model 65 ,3" bull barrel which is also a sweet gun. I think that I perfer it over the 66,2 1/2".

The Best!
The Smith & Wesson Model 66 is the best all-around revolver the company ever produced!
...That's my line and I'm sticking to it!

Beware the 66/66-1 addiction disease. There is no cure and the quest for possession is becoming continually more difficult.
Keep 'um if you've got 'um... If you don't..... well ..... ya better hurry!
