Default 386 xl or trr8

Okay folks, besides the obvious differences, barrel length and pc trigger, rails, and frame size, how does the 386 stack up to the trr8 as I am looking at these two and wondering if the trr8 is worth 250 bucks on the 386 as I will use it for home defense and range work. I have a 6in model 19 as a target range gun now.

Probably not the best to comment here... but for what it is worth, as a new TRR8 owner, I can really say that I have never shot a nicer gun. The 386 is sweet too...
I am not sure if the 386 is turned for moon clips, but they are a dream to work with - I just checked out the SW site and it didn't say anything about moons.
I also don't think the front site can be changed on the 386 - but depending on if you like Hi-viz, you might not care.
386 is a lighter gun... especially if compared to a trr8 with rails attached. I found the trr8 superbly balanced in the hand with the rails attached. The top rail really made a difference for me in regard to recoil with 357's... an unexpected benefit.
SA trigger on the TRR8 is simply amazing. DA was simply smooth too.. and honestly got smoother with a bunch of drys and 2 boxes of ammo.

Truly though, you can't go wrong with either... I am biased at this point.

Default trr8

Never shot a 386 but I have shot the TRR8 and really like the trigger and rails for lounting options, it is kinda like a black gun with the optins you can add.

geeeez... that aimpoint is nasty!!! and nasty in all of the good ways nasty can be.
Do you hear the shreik of jealously coming through???

To a fellow TRR8 owner - how do you feel about me attaching a viridian c5l to my under lug? Does the aiming thing and the lighting thing... just sounds like a good option to combine the 2 and saving money... well sort of saving money...

Honestly, I don't keep, or use, either the aimpoint or the light on this revolver. I just picked up the revolver from a buddy and with the light on it, it's so far away from your hand that it is almost pointless. You have to use your other hand to turn it on and off. It looks cool for the pictures, but I really don't have any use for rails on a revolver. Some would actually use the aimpoint or another scope, but I have no use for one.

It is a really nice feeling revolver, but it's very expensive for what it is.
