What makes this gun a "full target?" Does it have a target hammer and trigger? In the photo the trigger looks to be on the wide side, so perhaps that part of my question answers itself. Also, I notice a somewhat unusual looking rear sight. What type of sight is it? And, what's the model number on your gun? Is it a no-dash or a -1?

It would be a no-dash, going by the flash-chromed forged hammer/trigger and square-butt factory wood combat-grips, and no holes in the top-strap for a scope mount (can't see it from the picture); -1 has color-case-hardened forged hammer/trigger, round-butt grip frame w/ a round-to-square rubber Hogue conversion grip, and a factory drilled-and-tapped top strap for a scope mount (can't see it from the angle in the picture).

"Full Target" = Target Hammer, Target Trigger, and Target (adjustable) Sights. The sights that are on 410bore's gun are aftermarket target sights.

An 8 3/8" 617-1 with flash cromed TH &TT, square butt and combats recently sold on GB and I handled a 6" 617-1 square butt with combats and flash cromed parts at a gun show so it appears those features didn't change with the dash 1 designation but shortly afterwards.

Smile Great looking gun.

May I ask what's wrong with the Millet sight? Is it a white outline? I'd be interested.

Never say never with Smiths. I think the -1 change, officially, was the D&Ted frame and new-style rear sight. The rest of the changes (flash-chromed to color case-hardened, square to round-butt grip, old-style to new-style cylinder release) were phased in during that engineering change, I believe.

Howdy back, k22fan =)
