Thumbs up Grips For Performance Center 627

I just purchased the Performance Center 627, but the grips are a little small for my hands. Who makes a great looking set of wood grips for this pistol? I have a set of Hogue checkerred rosewood grips from them for my 617. They are great, but just wanted to see some pictures of others.

Thanks....

I put combat grips on mine.

I also like Nill (top) and herrett Jordan trooper (bottom) grips shown below.

Grips are so very individual that there really is no 'one size fits all'. I personally don't care for the fit of the old Combats even though they look very cool, the finger grooves don't line up right for me, whereas the newer finger-groove grips on the 627PC fit me quite well. To me the most comfortable grips are not finger groove ones, I like the Jordan Troopers a lot, and also really like the old S&W Target grips. I also like Jerry Miculek style grips.

Were your OEM PC627 grips the Miculek grips like my 627 Pro sports below? It's a fast grab - no fidgeting - great for competition. The PC Shop N-frame walnut grips on my 2 5/8" PC627 V-Comp, also below, are actually better for bullseye shooting.

The 625JM below has their stock Miculek grips for reference while my 627 Pro sports some Ahrends retro targets in cocobolo - great for serious shooting and nearly as fast a grab as the Miculeks.

My hands are medium+ in size - all of the grips shown are comfortable, although the Miculeks are decidedly small feeling. One must use them to gain appreciation. That 625JM's OEM Miculeks convinced me - my 4" 627 Pro sports it's own such grip (Top, above.).

I bought a lot of Ahrends finger groove grips a few years ago and to me they were slim enough but to deep front to back and I also thought the firger grooves were to wide at the end of the finger groove. Yesterday I had a set arrive of the retro combat grips from Ahrends and they have a much better feel to them and I really like them. I will post pictures of them a little later today.

Model 686 no dash with Ahrends retro combat grips in moradillo wood.
