Default 442 airweight help

Hello, I am new to the forum and I am hoping to get some advice. I recently purchased a brand new 442 airweight revolver and no matter what I try, this gun shoots high and right. the up/down, i can compensate for, but this thing is as much as 6" to right at any distance. Is there anything I can do other than add a crimson trace?
Thanks!
Scott

you might try different ammo and maybe experiment with your grip.

You might check to see if you're focusing with the dominant eye.

No offense intended... Have someone else shoot the gun and see if you get the same results.

The barrel could be crush fit into the frame crookedly too, you may want to rule that out in your search for answers. My 442 came from the factory w/ the barrel canting noticeably downward. S&W took care of it quickly and correctly, but just goes to show that it can be the machine (and not the operator) sometimes

FWIW my 442 shoots to point of aim at 15 yards and closer, as do all my J's. You might have a problem that needs to back to S&W, but first ask someone else to shoot it and see if they get the same result.
