Shoots like a rifle! You WILL like it. And how do you make the 3/8" small like that?

On a windows XP computer go to "Start","All Programs", "System Tools","Character Map". Then you can select what you want. You might have to change the font at the top of the Character Map tab.

Looks absolutely great. I have one and it was my first S&W purchase. New back when I bought it. They're great shooters. I love the weight and heft of them.

I know what you are thinking, is that 6 shots or only 5.
I bet it will be a real shooter. Enjoy your new purchase.

I looked at the photos without reading what you said, and immediately thought it's longer than mine. At my age that's nothing new! Mine is only 6". Hope the photo shows

You can also type your post, or a portion of it, into word processor programs like M$ Word or Word Perfect and then cut&paste.
Not quite as much of a hassle IMHO, but YMMV.

Guess that means that I get to shoot your 3" 66 first. Don't worry I have some special loads for you to shoot.

Man, i am jealous! I've been looking for one of those for a long time. I own 2 686 2"ers, a 4"er and a 6"er, if you ever get tired of lugging that one around please let me know!
Very nice revolver, should be super accurate and will certainly turn heads.

My original 8-3/8" 686 shot 2" 100yd groups with a 2X Leupold scope on it with 158 gr JHPs in front of 16.5 grains of Win 296 ball powder. That was my very first coyote gun.
