625 moon clips - what's the best source?
I've searched this forum, the internet, and Front Sight magazine ads high and low and haven't found anything better than a dollar apiece. Anybody know of any better deals, especially if you buy in quantity? Thanks.
Mr. O

I bought mine from Old Sarge's Drop Zone for about 34 cents each. I think he's out of stock at the moment. I've heard of Ranch Products offering them at a very low price as well. There used to be a running ad in Shotgun News from some fellow (LaPrade??) in Tennessee who was selling them for around 34 cents too.

Call Ranch Products at 313-277-3118. Tell them you want 100 pieces blue moons for a 625. They put them in the mail on your word and when they arrive you cut them a check for $35 and mail it back with their invoice. Ranch Products is probably the manufacturer for those clips you're seeing repackaged for a buck each.

Iamashooter2 is dead on. I have bought moon clips from ranch products off and on for years. They have always been cheaper than anyone else. While you have them on the phone, you might ask what other moon clip related products they handle. I think I have bought other things besides 45 moon clips from them over the years.
NOTE: I have noticed some places like Rimz lists 2 different moon clips for the 625. One for the M25 & 625-3, and a different one for later model 625's. I have owned several 25's over the years and 2 different 625-3's. I have been using the same moon clips in them all for years. My brother has a Performance Center JM625 I believe a Dash 7. He has been using out of my pile of moon clips from Ranch Products for years, and his gun has always ran just fine with them. I am not sure what the difference is supposed to be.

I called Ranch Products and talked to a real nice lady who was very helpful. Took my address and immediately sent me a catalog. Yep, $35.00 / 100 shipped for the .45 blue 625 moon clips. They even send you one for a sample with the catalog. My order goes out today.

I just got a batch and they are too thick. The cylinder won't rotate. They measure .050" thick but they should be .040" thick. Glad I only got 10 from this seller. No big deal as they were free with the de-mooner and that works great and is well made. It's a heavy gage steel tube type with a rubber grip.
I just ordered a bunch from Welcome to The Revolver Supply Company. Supplies for the revolver enthusiast. I have never ordered from them before but I got 20 for $15 with free shipping. They specify a .040" thickness. If they are good I will just order 100.

Polymer EZ moon clips
For range use you will love the plastic polymer moon clips made by EZMOONCLIPS.COM.
Super easy to load and 'de-moon'. The clips hold loaded rounds very well, are durable and fit my 22-4 perfectly.
Check them out.
